FeaturedThe Indianapolis, Indiana, based offices of Browning Day and specialty railing contractor, Spohn Associates, collaborated to create an amazing architectural designed space for the First Internet Bank in Indianapolis, Indiana. The project required over 3,500 linear feet of railing and incorporated a veritable plethora of Hollaender railing designs.

Pronova Solutions constructed a new major office and plant complex in Blount County, TN (Knoxville area) to house their newly developed proton therapy system for cancer treatment.
Systems Used:

Hollaender’s VUE™ stainless-steel railing system creates a safe, open environment at Igo Elementary. Glass infill and a #4 directional finish provide lasting durability with a clean, contemporary appearance.

Center Grove High School features a coordinated mix of Hollaender railing systems with glass, picket, and wire mesh infill. Clear-anodized finishes, transparent glass, and bold red mesh provide durable, accessible solutions with distinct architectural character.

Architectural firm Browning Day, tasked with the design for the new YMCA at CityWay in Indianapolis, was looking for a railing design that was diversified enough to handle both glass infill panels and metal infill panels. A common railing design with different infill panels for both stairs and mezzanines would offer a wider range of aesthetics than one uniform infill panel system.

Wesbanco Arena decided to renovate their arena with new railing, seating, along with other upgrades.

When Purdue University required a world-class design for Hagle Hall, the home of Purdue’s Orchestras and All-American Marching Band, they called upon Browning Day Architects of Indianapolis, Indiana. The Stainless Steel Post Mounted VISION™ railing system was the perfect design accent to the facility’s modern aesthetic and open floorplan.

Mercer Commons is the most recent of a series of developments financed by 3CDC. 3CDC is a non-profit, real estate development and finance organization focused on strategically revitalizing Cincinnati's downtown urban core in partnership with the City of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati corporate community. Their work is specifically focused on the central business district and in Over-the-Rhine. One of their more recent projects is a multi-unit condominium development, Mercer Commons.

Liberty Center is a brand new development that opened in late 2015, located on 100 acres just north of Cincinnati, Ohio. It is mixed use, with retail, residential, and commercial tenants.

The Jim Pattison Auto Group is one of the largest automotive groups in western Canada. Their most current projects are located in Victoria, British Columbia. In January 2015 the existing smaller and quite dated Toyota and Lexus facilities were replaced with a spectacular 67,300 square foot Toyota facility consisting of four levels and a 7,700 square foot 2-story Lexus facility.

Spartanburg School District Two chose Jumper, Carter and Sease Architects from West Columbia, South Carolina for their design and Thompson Turner Construction as general contractor for the recently completed construction of the Boiling Springs High School. The architects of Jumper, Carter and Sease specified Hollaender’s Stainless Steel VUE™ Railing system as a basis of design and coupled it with a white-opaque interlayered PVB glass to provide both a modern and airy feel throughout the facility. The railing was manufactured out of stainless steel which enhanced the sleek modern design and also provided an ultra-clean look throughout the school. Design and construction of modern educational campuses provide unique challenges in terms of railing design and economic value in a budget conscience environment.The Stainless Steel VUE™ system provided economic value compared to other manufacturers and will continue to provide safety, durability, stability and accessibility to the the students and staff of Boiling Springs High School years to come.

On the building's exterior, the specification of the Interna-Rail® aluminum system with a vertical picket infill provides a clean, streamlined, and exceptionally sturdy barrier. This mechanical piping system utilizes internal set screws to deliver a smooth, continuous handrail profile that easily withstands seasonal weathering while keeping outdoor walkways safe and accessible.

Duke Realty’s new headquarters in Indianapolis was designed by Ratio Architects with a unique and fresh approach to redefine the look and feel of a corporate workspace. The architects along with the leaders of Duke Realty challenged the typical and traditional workspace designs by creating an office environment modeled for collaboration and teamwork.

The Indianapolis based offices of Fanning Howey Architects and specialty railing contractor, Spohn Associates collaborated to accomplish the vision of Center Grove High School’s Natatorium facility addition. The natatorium is home to one of Indiana’s largest competition pools which includes a ten-lane Olympic-sized aquatic center connected to the existing campus. Hollaender’s Structural Glass Railing System with aluminum base shoe and top cap was the perfect combination of railing safety and unmatched sight lines for spectators.

Located north of the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, the six-story mixed-use University City Center building integrates 266 residential units and a pool, a 4-tier parking garage, and over 120,000 square feet of leasable retail space. In an effort to differentiate University City Center from other student housing options, the architect firm Berardi+ and specialty railing contractor Spohn Associates used Hollaender’s Interna-Rail VUE™ railing system to provide a clear and safe viewing area around the pool deck.

Central to the design are varied railing systems throughout the facility. The standout feature, the Grand Stair and adjacent Learning Stair, showcases Hollaender’s VUE™ post-mounted glass railing systemwith a black anodized aluminum finish, paired with a single-line ADA accessible, clear anodized aluminum assist rail.
